The successful edition once again underscored the international significance of Hunkeler Innovationdays as a leading industry platform.

A successful return
After a four-year pandemic-related break, Hunkeler Innovationdays returned in 2023 with record attendance. A total of 6'700 visitors from around 100 countries joined approximately 100 exhibitors in Lucerne, making the fourteenth edition the most successful in the event’s history to date.
With 50 production lines and numerous world and European premieres on display, Innovationdays once again demonstrated its role as a leading international platform for innovation and collaboration in the printing industry.
Pandemic-related postponements
For the first time since its inception, Innovationdays was forced to break its established two-year cycle. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was initially postponed to February 2022 and subsequently rescheduled again to 2023 as the global situation continued to evolve.

6'500 visitors from around 100 countries
Innovationdays 2019 attracted a record 6’500 visitors from around 100 countries. More than 100 co-exhibitors and over 40 production systems were presented in Lucerne, reflecting the event’s continued growth and international appeal.
The event has become an established platform for exhibitors to showcase new products and technologies to a global audience.

New exhibition hall
The opening of the newly built exhibition hall marked another important step in the development of Innovationdays. The expanded venue provided additional space for partner exhibits and Hunkeler’s own solutions, further enhancing the event experience for visitors and exhibitors alike.

Record attendance
The continued growth of Innovationdays soon exceeded the capacity of the existing banquet hall in Lucerne. To accommodate the increasing number of attendees, the adjacent tennis hall was incorporated into the event for the first time in 2007.
More than 6'000 visitors from over 50 countries attended Innovationdays, setting a new attendance record.

Relocation to Lucerne
Innovationdays moved to Lucerne in 2005. The banquet hall at the exhibition center offered the ideal conditions for the event’s continued growth. By this time, Innovationdays had become a magnet for industry experts from around the world and was widely recognized as the leading industry event for high-performance digital printing.

First "Innovationdays"
The name Innovationdays was introduced for the first time at the 2003 Open House, held at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Zofingen, Switzerland. By then, visitor attendance had already grown significantly, reflecting the event’s increasing importance within the industry.

First Hunkeler Open House
